Preliminary round: Hettie Rankin (LaFarge) v Chantal Nell (Harlequin-Berea); Lottie Gazendam (Wonderboom) v Hester Bekker (Florida North); Loraine Victor (Centurion) v Joyce Nordier (Wonderboom).
 
Ist round: Winner Rankin and Nell v winner Gazendam and Bekker; Sheila Buncombe (Edenvale) v Louise Wessels (PHSOB); Heather Pembroke (Roosevelt Park) v Pam Landau (Roosevelt Park); Ina Jooste (Wingate Park) v Hannetjie Engelbrecht (Pta Municipals); Fransisca de Kock (Durbanville) v Leone du Rand (PHSOB); Anna Hilder (Bloemfontein) v Hettie Botha (Pta Military); Lyn McKinnon (Italian Club) v Margaret Stanbury (Benoni CC); Corrie Breitenbach (Potch Dorp) v winner Victor and Nordier.
 
The preliminary round will start at 9am on Sunday and players in the first round who do not have to wait for opponents have the option of playing their matches in the morning or the afternoon.
